Path Tools is a simple tool that lets you quickly extract
and copy file names, folders, and paths directly from your Eagle
library. It simplifies referencing assets and exporting path lists for
use in projects, scripts, or external tools.
Key Features
Smart Auto Source –
Automatically detects whether to read from the active folder or
selected items, adapting to your current context with no manual
switching needed
Three Source Modes – Choose between Auto, Folder, and Items to control exactly which assets are targeted
Copy Names – Extract just the file name (with or without extension) for all matched items
Copy URL – Extracts and copies source URLs from items for quick access to the original sources
Copy Relative Paths – Copy paths relative to the Eagle library root, ideal for project-relative references
Copy Absolute Paths – Copy full system paths for use in scripts, terminals, or external tools
Copy Relative Folders – Extract the relative folder path of each item, useful for directory-level references
Copy Absolute Folders – Get the full absolute folder path for each item
Copy Files
– Copies the selected files to the system clipboard so they can be
pasted into another location in the file explorer or compatible
applications
Refresh Thumbnails– Regenerates Eagle thumbnails for selected items to refresh outdated or corrupted previews
Save to File – Every action includes a companion save button to export the path list directly to a file in .txt, .csv, or .json format
Extension Filters – Include or exclude files by extension using a tag-based filter UI, so you only capture exactly the file types you need
Include Subfolders – Toggle subfolder traversal to narrow or widen the scope of captured paths
With/Without Extension – Choose whether file names include their extension when copied
Draggable Action Order – Rearrange copy actions via drag-and-drop to match your personal workflow
Auto-Refresh – Automatically reloads when your Eagle selection or folder changes
Keep on Top – Pin the plugin window above other applications for quick repeated access
